Hello, and Happy New Year!
Does anybody else feel like 2017 flew by? Sometimes I feel like the older I get, the more quickly the years pass. It’s crazy. I’ve always really liked New Year, though. I love how everyone gets together and celebrates the leaving behind of the past and the raw possibility of the future. It’s so much fun, and honestly, it has always felt pretty spiritual to me. The second piece of the Chakra Series
Welcome back for the second article in my Chakra Series! If you didn’t get to check out the first piece in the series, The Root Chakra: Signs of Blockage and How to Heal, I suggest that you start there. It’s much easier to balance and open the other chakras if the root chakra, which connects us to the earth, is first balanced. The first piece in the Chakra Series
Welcome to my Chakra Series! Last week, I wrote an article called “Chakras: The Basics and How You Can Heal Yours.” There was quite a bit of positive feedback on the article (which I GREATLY appreciated), and to continue on the subject, I decided to begin this series, which will explore and discuss each chakra in greater depth, one at a time. Some of my creative endeavors—one of them, writing—were falling to the wayside, and I began to feel like a robot whose sole task was to go to work every morning and come home, exhausted, every evening. It was a hopeless, numbing feeling, and I did not feel like I was living intentionally, wholeheartedly, or purposefully. This is one of the reasons that, in the shower that morning, I simply decided that I needed to quit my job. At least for a while. Continue reading “On Living Purposefully”
The earth is teeming with life-giving energy and nourishment.
We need the tonic of wildness…At the same time that we are earnest to explore and learn all things, we require that all things be mysterious and unexplorable, that land and sea be indefinitely wild, unsurveyed and unfathomed by us because unfathomable. We can never have enough of nature.
