Part 2 of the Self-Love Series
Welcome back, my loves, for the second part of the Self-Love Series.
I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason—that every experience we encounter shapes us in some way and is exactly what we need to experience at a given moment. And I believe that you clicked on this article for a reason. If you’re a close friend of mine, the reason could be that you’re just trying to support my creative project which is this blog (which is so sweet, and I love you all). But maybe you clicked on this article because you feel something lacking. Maybe you’re struggling to love and accept yourself. Maybe you’re looking for more ideas on self-care. Maybe you’re looking for someone to give you permission to love and take care of yourself in a world that can be very externally demanding. One day the wind will speak to you.
Hopefully everyone is doing well. I just got back from my two-week-long trip to India, which was absolutely amazing. There was lots of family time, delicious food cooked by my sweet aunts, buffalo and goats strolling down the streets, and some really heartwarming human connection. Traveling out of the country is always such a privilege, as it provides a great deal of perspective. I just love seeing how, in some countries, things are so different than what I’m used to in my daily life, yet it all works perfectly. It’s also really interesting to see how love and laughter serve as a kind of universal language. But that’s a thought for another post. Continue reading “Dust of Gold: A Sampling of Poetry”
When I was eight years old, I thought I was fat.
I hope this first week of 2018 has brought a great deal of joy and motivation to you all. I’m still in India and will be for a little while longer, but I plan on writing about it when I get home.
Since it is the New Year, I’ve been doing a little bit of thinking about New Year’s resolutions. If you read my previous article about my favorite New Year’s practice, you know I’m more prone to come up with intentions rather than resolutions, but, nevertheless, the latter are on my mind. …and I slowly and ceremoniously burn them.
Hello, and Happy New Year!
Does anybody else feel like 2017 flew by? Sometimes I feel like the older I get, the more quickly the years pass. It’s crazy. I’ve always really liked New Year, though. I love how everyone gets together and celebrates the leaving behind of the past and the raw possibility of the future. It’s so much fun, and honestly, it has always felt pretty spiritual to me. If you keep waiting for the perfect circumstances, they will never come.
“Stop waiting for Friday, for summer, for someone to fall in love with you, for life. Happiness is achieved when you stop waiting for it and make the most of the moment you are in now.” –Unknown Continue reading “Stop Postponing Your Dreams: It’s Time to Act”
The seventh piece in the Chakra Series
It’s hard to believe we’ve already reached the last piece in this Chakra Series! It’s been a lot of fun working on it, and I’m so grateful to those of you who have taken the time to read the articles and given me some feedback on them. Hopefully you’ve been able to get something out of this series, and hopefully you’ve been able to open up your chakras to embark on a path to living a life of balance, connection, and authenticity. If you like what you read on this blog and haven’t had the chance to subscribe by email yet, please do so! If you’re reading this on your phone, the link is all the way at the bottom, and if you’re on your computer, it’s in the right sidebar. It says, “Follow Me!” All it does is send my new posts directly to you when they’re first published, which happens twice a week. It’s a great way to stay up-to-date on everything without being spammed. Continue reading “The Crown Chakra: Signs of Blockage and How to Heal”
The fourth piece in the Chakra Series
Welcome back for the fourth post in my Chakra Series, which has everything to do with the heart chakra! With a recent major opening of my heart chakra, this is the perfect time for me to be writing about it. Continue reading “The Heart Chakra: Signs of Blockage and How to Heal”
